Building a personal brand changes everything

Okay, let’s talk about why personal branding matters more than you think.

In all honesty, I used to ignore it completely. It just seemed like vanity disguised as a strategy.

But here’s the reality: your skills aren’t unique anymore. Your perspective is.

In a world where everyone can offer the same services, what really makes someone choose you over the next person?

It’s not just your portfolio anymore.

It’s whether they feel like they know you, trust you, and believe in your perspective.

And personal branding is that bridge between your work and people who need it.

But what even is a personal brand?

Your personal brand isn’t your logo or color palette.

It’s you.

Your point of view, your opinions, and again, your perspective.

When I started out, all I did was share what I was learning and working on, and sharing my perspective on it.

That’s it, I didn’t have a fancy strategy or content calendar.

Just my thoughts on whatever it was I was doing.

And after doing this for some time, the shift in my business was clear.

Instead of hunting for customers, they started finding me.

People would reach out already knowing my work, my approach, and my style.

They’d say “I’ve been following you” instead of “Tell me about yourself”.

By the time they reached my templates, they were half sold already.

The trust was built through months of valuable content.

If you’re thinking about starting a personal brand (which you should definitely do) or you already have one, here are some tips that I’ve learned over the years:

Start small. Pick one platform and commit to it. Don’t try to upload content on every single social platform. All that’s going to do is burn you out, and you won’t make any meaningful progress on any of them.

Focus on value, not vanity metrics. One person who really connects with your content is worth more than a hundred passive followers.

Be yourself. Your POV is your competitive advantage and what makes you different. Embrace it and always be you.

Document, don’t create. Share what you’re already doing instead of inventing content from scratch.

Personal branding isn’t about becoming an influencer.

It’s about making it easier for the right people to find you and choose you.

And in a crowded market, that changes everything.

If you’re ready to start building that recognisable presence, my website templates can help take your personal brand to the next level.
